Not everyone thinks about whether or not they are expressing their unique nature. However, if you find yourself experiencing any dissatisfaction with your job, your relationships, or any area of your life, you may want to look at this issue. When we express who we are, what makes us unique, what makes our hearts soar, [...]
Sometimes you just need a break. It’s been a crazy week at the office. Or your kid came down with the latest creeping crud and kept you up all night for the past three days. Maybe you just need some time out so you can hear yourself think over the din of competing anxieties.
When you [...]

Self confidence is a vicious circle. The more you lack self confidence the more difficult it is to succeed. A low success rate will further lower your self confidence… That’s what makes gaining self confidence a very difficult task, since you have to push yourself to break the low self confidence habit.

Principles in reference to our training method are 2 things:
Unchanging - They remain the same thru time and with new advances
Universal - Once fully assimilated, they can be applied to practically any other aspect of your life.
Ask Bob Anything and ask that one thing that you really want to change:
Geeky RESOURCES and HACKER PROTECTION
Find the best tools for keeping your Computer and technology running at its best, which sometimes doesn't mean much huh?
Got problems with your computer? Who doesn't? Well, maybe your only problem is you don;t know if you need a new one, or maybe you've got PC envy and you want to see how yours stacks up with the neighbors. Regardless, here's the best tool for finding issues, and fixing them that I have ever found: www.pcpitstop.com
Run "FULL TESTs" from the list of links in the upper left hand corner of their homepage. You can run them anonymously, but I'd recommend setting up an account if you want to track more than one machine or if you want a track record of your machine's slow decline in performance.
If you have an internet connection at home (Who doesn't?) you are being hacked right now! Seriously, about 7-11 times per hour someone is knocking on your virtual door, or better yet kicking it down and walking right in. Two things I recommend for anyone with a high-speed connection: 1 - Get a Residential Gateway (Sometimes called a router), Linksys is my favorite, but of course there's D-Link Netgear etc. here's what one looks like, click the image if your want to buy one now.
I happen to like this one because it's ready for Linux. The main thing is GET ONE, hook your broadband modem (Cable or DSL) to it and plug your PC(s) into it, instead of plugging them directly into the WORLD-wide hackable web. 2 - Get Zonealarm FREE personal Firewall from here:
http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/catalog/products/sku_list_za.jsp
Click the "DOWNLOAD NOW" button on the right edge of the screen, and install this ASAP. It protect you from not only threats coming towards your machine from the web, but ones that originate ON your machine in the first place heading out TOWARDS the web. About 1/2 the attacks are trying to load bad stuff on your machine and the other 1/2 are trying to launch stuff that has been loaded on your machine. Cute huh? Anyway, protection from BOTH directions means you will be notified anytime something (Including WORD or Internet Explorer) tries to connect to the Web. Why does WORD need to connect to the web anyway?
Got a NEW Laptop or PC? Ever heard of "Crapware" or "Bloatware"? Just turn on the machine and look at all the pretty icons they've loaded for you. Most of it is trial versions and stuff that you can get for free IF YOU WANT IT, later. So here's a nifty little tool to remove all these crappy programs from your supposedly NEW system, which should be totally clean in the first place. http://www.pcdecrapifier.com/home
DON'T use these programs:
Internet Explorer
MS Outlook Express
Yes I know they come with your machine,
Yes I know they are free (for now),
But did YOU know that MS Outlook express is the single most hacked and most easily hacked software on the planet?
Did you know that Internet explorer allows pop-ups in a way that you cannot stop them with ANY patches or special Yahoo pop-up blocker toolbars etc.?
So I highly recommend the following alternatives:
- Thunderbird for your email
- Firefox for your Web Browsing (See my Blog Post on Firefox and add-ons/extensions
Aside from the above I highly recommendCrapCleaner, now politely renamed to CCleaner. It does what it's name suggests, it gets rid of the crap that accumulates through normal web browsing and signing up for every online game and pop up ad you see. Not to mention it helps clean off your hard drive and get rid of junk files that don't really belong on your PC anymore.
Use the links above and read about what it does or doesn't remove from your PC. If you save passwords, filled out forms etc. in your browser and are ok with that information being unencrypted then you might want to tell CCleaner to leave all the cookies etc. in your browser. However, I'd recommend wiping them every now and then just to throw off the hackers who have been relying on it being there every time they hack you.

ABOUT BOB:
Born in Dayton, OH in 1966, Bob grew up in Huber Heights OH. A small northern suburb near Wright-Patterson Air Force base, where his dad worked in the Foreign Technologies Division, with the folks doing "project Blue Book", you know the UFO guys.
Bob joined the military (USAF-ANGUS) while a High School senior, where his duties included but were not limited to: Everything Under the Sun "Including All Additional Duties as Assigned". Picture a Company Clerk like Radar on M*A*S*H. Because of the overwhelming nature of his military duties it was necessary for him to study developing technologies and master them, then put them into practice in order to automate manual processes (paper driven), and then teach what he had learned to other military personnel. Soon he was teaching many high ranking officers how to use computer technologies for the first time in their lives. Bear in mind that Bob had stripes and they had stars ; they couldn't admit to him that they were scared of this new technology, but he learned to tactfully make them more comfortable with the technology and with his roll as their teacher.
**Promoted in minimum time in service and minimum time in grade, he was the youngest Master Sergeant in the Air Force for awhile.**
In his free time Bob made an extensive study of martial arts, which he began studying with his father and sister while in the 8th grade. It started with an Okinawan School of Karate (Hayashi-Ha Shito Ryu Kai), and progressed to studying Ninjutsu under Stephen K. Hayes (Known as the man who brought the Ninja arts to America generating the "Ninja Boom" of the 80's). Bob obtained his black belt in 9 schools of combat collectively known as "Budo-Taijutsu" under Kevin Schneider and Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi. He was also recognized by certificate from Dr. Hatsumi as worthy of teaching the 9 schools of combat to others. These honors were bestowed upon him after he organized the Minneapolis shibu (training club), and began training others. Later, during his travels to Toronto, Canada, he had a pre-instructor intensive training with Vladamir Vasiliev, of Russia who teaches a martial method known simply as Systema "The System", taught to Soviet Spetznaz and DRU units. It is a unique self defense method founded in Russia in Stalin's day, utilizing many of the same principles as Budo-taijutsu with more of a slant towards the European body type making it feel more natural than Buda Taijutsu. Bob has also studied Subtle Energy Healing under Ken Deigh, Pranic healing under Tim Hanson and completed his Reiki Master Training in traditional Mikao Usui methods from Sherry Panfile, who was taught by William Lee Rand, who traces his lineage back to Mikao Usui.
After 16 years of service, Bob left the Military in 2001, the year of the 911 disaster. He received an honorable discharge as Master Sergeant (E-7), in the USAF. He feels fate stepped in and kept him from serving any more military time in a fear induced climate that was radically different than when and why he joined. In retrospect Bob realized he felt as if he'd joined into the military for the wrong (youthful idealistic) reasons; duty, honor, love of country... they really meant something to him but seemed to matter less and less in the daily military life he experienced. It was time for a change, Bob describes his feelings at the time: "It was waking up from the dream of being in the military, the same awakening as to being married for the wrong reasons, and staying married beyond the dream stage". This realization was a huge stride forward for him, he had decided he would never put himself in an uncomfortable and unhealthy job where his honorable efforts and intentions would be squandered.
As a civilian, Bob decided to use his extensive and diverse experience in IT and learn as much as he could about the civilian job market. He joined a temp. outsourcing agency and moved from job to job to see what was out there and where he felt most valuable.
It had become obvious that Bob was a natural teacher and he excelled at teaching others about technology. Soon he became an Adjunct Faculty Member at 2 Ohio Colleges (Southern State University and Edison State College). There he provided top-notch education in the areas of IT, PCs, Hardware/Software, Networking and Software Applications. He also developed the curriculum, course syllabi and online course materials for the brand new "Web-Based" courses, suitable for undergrad, post secondary and adult students.
During this period Bob also redesigned and assisted in re-writing the textbook “Linux User’s Guide", by Franklin Beedle and Assoc., and assisted the Dean at Edison College in re-organizing the flow of the IT curriculum for the college.
Seeing a need for his students to get real world hands-on experiences using their course material Bob co-founded a small computer user group (the NSIG) to enable students to gain actual work experience using their newly learned IT skills. It was his own bad experiences with dry academic "non-learning" that gave him special insight into the need for this kind of practical application. Bob and the Northern SIG were personally recognized by the acting President of the 30 yr old non-profit based in Dayton Ohio, which hosted the largest computer show in the mid-west; "Computerfest". After the President saw the incredible progress and excellent collaboration of efforts that this brand new team delivered; surpassing the efforts of the last several years in just a few months, he pointed his finger at Bob during a board meeting and said "I want YOU and your team to take over all IT needs for our sole fund raising event (Computerfest), and later all IT needs of our organization". Not bad for the first couple of months of meeting with a "team" of college students, most of whom had came into the NSIG with no computing background what so ever. This was very encouraging and inspired Bob to continue honoring his commitment to work where his efforts were valued and he felt appreciated .
While in Ohio Bob also worked as a Technology liaison for the Dept. of Education and 12 School districts across Southern Ohio advising and assisting the Technology Coordinators for the districts with their IT needs. For witch he obtained an FBI background clearance to work with children. Simply scroll to the bottom of this screen to view the certificate. (in slide show or go to photo tab)
In 2004, while at a week long outdoor retreat in Wisteria Ohio, Bob met his true love life-mate (Dianne). After visiting her in Seattle, as she had warned, he loved the Puget Sound area so much he wanted to move there. By Dec. 2004 he was on a plane headed for Seattle and began to settle in. The day after Easter in 2005 Bob and Dianne received the most wonderful news of their lives, Dianne was pregnant with their baby girl (Sparrow Ruby) who was born in Nov of 2005.
With over 20 Years experience teaching students of diverse backgrounds how to become comfortable and functional with all manner of computing and information technologies, Bob has accumulated certificates in many areas of specialized training. He has over 500 hours of technical training in management, leadership, communications, project management, planning and implementation, as well as business quality and process improvement, team building and facilitation training . Coaching Fear and Scarcity
by Rhonda Hess
When a client expresses fears, it's tempting to follow them down the rabbit hole and get lost in the useless world of "what ifs." If we do, a little stuck-ness may blossom into a full-blown nightmare.
Keep in mind that fear is:
1. A normal response to personal growth.
2. Generally, nothing to be afraid of.
3. A gateway into meaningful change.
For example, here are some… Continue
